Foster Care Youth Aging Out System

Progam Evaluators 

The National Foster Care Registry (NFCR) ensures youth aging out of foster care are prepared for adulthood. Managed by foster care alumni, foster care professionals, social workers, statisticians and advocates committed to ensuring youth aging out will not experience homelessness or unemployment.

 

NFCR partners with organizations that are specific in providing support services to foster care youth locally and nationally.

National Program Database consists of successful transitioning programs accredited through program evaluations based on verified compliance with outcome measures stated.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Program Evaluators are industry professionals as well as Foster Care Alumni creditialed in youth development, and program evaluations. 



 

National Transitioning Database consists of the progress of youth 16 -24 registered in the Foster Care Youth Aging Out System.

 

The National Foster Care Registry (NFCR) provides assistance with transition planning and implementation services to service providers and youth 16-24 years of age. We are an outsource agency that is committed to youth aging out of foster care and transitioning into adulthood successfully. We compliment current services by ensuring youth have successfully completed or accomplished each of the following milestones of the aging out process:

Program Accreditation
  • Five-year accreditation

  • In-depth review of the program’s outcomes

  • User-friendly, online process

  • Process typically takes 9-12 months

  • An Accreditation Coordinator assists the program through the process

  • Standards and accreditation materials are free

  • Programs apply and are accredited independent of other programs, even within the same organization

Youth Transition Progress

NFCR ensures youth are equipped with the following:

 

  • Health insurance that will continue after emancipation

  • Public benefits they are eligible for

  • Stable housing for at least 12 months after emancipation

  • Sufficient income to live independently after emancipation
